ACM/ICPC Indonesia National Contest 2007
Annually, Bina Nusantara University held a national programming contest named Bina Nusantara Programming Contest for College Students (BNPC-CS). This year the contest will be held in cooperation with Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) as the annual organizer of International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). For that reason, the contest is now named under ACM/ICPC Indonesia National Competition 2007.
Team consists of three university students will be given 6-8 computer programming problems in five hours which have to be done on a single computer. Competitors will race againts the time in a battle of logic, strategy and mental endurance.
The competitors will be given a set of problem statements and an example of test data for each problem. Judges test data and acceptance criteria will not be opened to the competitors. Team members will collaborate to analyze and then write codes to solve the problem. Every incorrect submitted solution will be applied with time penalty. Team who solves the most number of problems correctly with the least amount of time will be crowned as the champion of the competition.
The Contest
Qualification Round - Online Competition
Consists of 5 problems, which have to be solved in 3 hours.
June 10th, 2007 - 01.00 pm u. 04.00 pm
50 groups will be advancing to the final round with composition as followed:
- 30 groups : one group with best score from each university and has solved minimum one problem.
- 20 groups : top 20 groups from the rest of the participants exclude the 30 groups above.
The composition of groups advancing to the final is adjustable based on the number of universities participating in the qualification round.
Final Round - Onsite Competition
Consists of 6 to 8 problems, which have to be solved in 5 hours.

The problems for both rounds are related to algorithm and data structure. Provided compiler are C/C++ (GCC and Ms. Visual C++), and Java.

Champion, 1 group, Cash Rp.6.000.000,- & plaque
Gold Medal, 1 group, Cash Rp.4.500.000,- & Gold Medal
Silver Medal, 2 groups, Cash Rp.3.750.000,- & Silver Medal /group
Bronze Medal, 2 groups, Cash Rp.3.000.000,- & Bronze Medal /group
Registration & Fee
Registration closing date is June 7th, 2007
Registration fee is Rp.100.000,- /group
