Weeds is an American dark comedy television series. The plot revolves around a widowed housewife from an affluent California suburb who becomes an upper-middle-class marijuana dealer to make ends meet.

It began with a 10-episode first season in August 2005. It was the highest rated series for Showtime that year.[1] A 12-episode second season followed in August 2006,[2] and a third season consisting of 15 episodes premiered on August 13, 2007.[3] The season 3 premiere episode attracted 824,000 Showtime subscribers to the show. It was announced on November 5, 2007 that Showtime had picked up the show for a fourth season consisting of 13 episodes and will begin on June 16th, 2008.[4]

The exteriors for the show are shot almost exclusively in Stevenson Ranch, a suburban area of Santa Clarita Valley, California. The shot of the large fountain and Agrestic sign seen in the introduction was shot at the corner of Stevenson Ranch Parkway and Holmes Place. The name 'Stevenson Ranch', was digitally replaced with 'Agrestic'[5] and with 'Majestic' in later episodes.

The overhead, satellite picture displayed at the beginning of the show's introduction is of "Calabasas Hills", a gated community in Calabasas, California.[6]

Inti ceritanye itu a single mom (Mary Louise Parker... she's a perfect definition of MILF btw,.... shess HAWT!) yg tiba2 ditinggal mati suaminya.
To support her family lifestyle, dia mesti jualan weeds ato ganja,... cannabis .... marijuana :) di lingkungan perumahannye yg elite....
Story revolves around her weeds business dari yg cuman dealer, ampe yg mesti berhadapan ama polisi etc.
Yang pasti abis nonton nih seri bikin gua pengen grow some weeds on my backyard ;D

Weeds masuk category dark comedy, for me IMO mirip2 ama entourage.... so if you love entourage, you should give this show a chance.
Weeds juga di puter di tv cable, showtime.... so expect alot of nudity in it

Keren... Sejak seri ini mulai (gw nontonnya maraton season 1 & 2), langsung berhenti nonton Desperate Housewives. Seri2nya cable di US emang lebih mature dan karakterisasinya menarik diikutin. BTW ada inside joke soal reference Mary Louise Parker sebagai MILF, Snopp Dogg yang jadi bintang tamu meresmikan weed yang dia jual sebagai "MILF Weed". Selaen Mary Louise Parker kan ada Justin Kirk juga alumni Angels in America.

BTW Zooey Deschanel is so cute!!! Sayang tidak jadi regular cast.

IMO seri ini sudah jump the shark di season 3. It gets too soapy dan twist2nya mulai mengada-ada. Mudah2an improve di season 4.

gw coba deh nanti nonton ulang, kasih 2nd chance ;D...

kalo menurut gua bukan tipe series seru yang bikin gua ketagihan sampe musti nonton terus-terusan sih, soalnya dari alur sendiri emang udah kayak tipikal drama biasa. tapi banyak banget scene-scene yang mencuri perhatian. karakter-karakternya juga menarik. trus juga perjalanan bisnis sang MILF cukup seru buat diikuti.

Tunggu deh, sampai ke tengah-tengah, awas ga tidur :p Gw dulu pas nonton, 1 season cuma 2 hari selesai. Endingnya suka nanggung, plus ditendang ma score yang badass habis di endingnya, terpaksa pencet episode berikutnya. 1 lagi, 1 lagi, 1 lagi, ga sadar 4 jam lagi dah harus ngantor :P

baru sadar gua, ternyata mary-louise parker yang jadi emak juga ya di spiderwick chronicles? ;p

baru selesai season 4 marathon. rada kurang menurut gua season kemaren itu. cuma menang keliatan toketnya si MILF aja. ;p
