However...though how unfortunate we are as an "indoravers" that we may adopt the "raves scene" with our "melayu" mentality....in adapting anykind of culture that comes from outside.....dengan kata lain mungkin aja rave scene yang ada di indonesia kayak sekarang ini hanya beberapa event yang qualified untuk disebut party rave itu sendiri......yang benar2 underground sifatnya masih bisa keitung dengan jari......padahal kan rave scene ini udah ada sejak akhir tahun 80-an....di Chicago dan di Detroit.....disini mungkin baru trendy sktr dasawarsa thn 90-an akhir...cuman kenapa masih aja ada orang yang begitu salah kaprah dengan pengejewantahan kata rave itu sendiri dan sudah bangga menyamakan diri menyebutkan diri a ravers kalo memang aktualisasinya masih jauh dari kata "desireable"
we'd better work our ass to make things happen otherwise it's gonna be a trend things that would sink us and the vibes down to the sea.....!

now..it is up to us...to decide how to make a rave party in indo as "the real rave party"
see, most people here (yap, even here) still think rave scene as a negative scene full of druggies jumping around with glowsticks. we have to let them see...we're not only about drugs, glowsticks, loud electronic music. we're about peace, friendliness, comfort. we are about lovers, not haters :)

you are right indoraver....I hope you are not those kinda a people whose hailing the glowsticks without knowing what's the vital meaning besides getting ****ed all night long and ends up loosing the meaning of the rave culture itself...I saw a lot of misperception and misinterpretation going on in the scene here cause they thought rave is a solution to get all ****ed up on e's and loose all the sense and touch of the whole context here......
Well artinya rave scene adalah suatu kondisi dimana kita berada dalam suatu pesta underground yang biasanya outlawed atau illegal yang begitu sarat dengan muatan idealisme love peace and unity that tied together in one forum or community....which are the underground dance culture
the music is usually trance, deep house, techno, drum and bass, breakbeat ....etc

pumasneakers, i really like your comment on that. but yeah...lots of people here misintercept the meaning of the rave scene itself. makanya banyak yg bilang rave scene is a bad culture for youngsters like us. hey..hey...who are they to judge? i'm not gonna drag about what i do when i go rave party or what i "tend" to do, but one thing that i wanna mention about rave scene/party.....it's in the MUSIC! the new music that brings us close together, walaupun kita nggak kenal satu sama lain. it's not the drugs that bring us close, it's not glowsticks, it's not the fashion, but it's the MUSIC! musik electronic sekarang belum banyak dikenal especially di daerah Asia. makanya....gue pengen banget...memperkenalkan this new type of music (it's not new, but nobody really knows about it) to the music lovers in Indo.

As you probably have known....a true ravers never gonna permanently stay in one particular place...as long as love is still the theme, good vibes are still on the air....I'll always be there....such as there are gonna be a big event this saturday April 14 th 2001...organized by our fellow comrades that has been awfully too dedicated to make "the dream" come true for such a long time....the party called "Futureunion"....and it's looked like a "rave" party since the event are gonna take place on a hanggar...
So Indoraver...wanna just check it out ...and be an observable and hopes this event would turn even better to be called a rave party....ala indonesia.....yang paling mendekatilah sedikitnya lah

Ketahuan enggak nyimak reply gue ya...?hehehe it really depends what definition of 'rave' are u looking right now....As I said earlier....tanggal 14 April nanti...there are gonna be a "Rave-a-like" kinda party....taking place...(see my last reply...for details). Though you are lucky to get the answered right away...due there were parties after the new years Suluban 2000, Bali...and Canggu 2001, Bali...two times events at Kafe Hambalang, Sentul were previously held and acceptable to be called a "rave scene"....and the party at Ciwuraga (drum and bass) just outskirt Bandung area were one of the kind also....Though I know we far from being called 'perfectionist' on trying to organized underground....meaning without any overcommercials promotions....which are overwhelming sometimes and tends to loose the whole meaning of the gathering....we are at least trying to head over there....

Well I try to fullfill your request sending the pictures though I know it's pretty damn hard when you are actually on the scene...all u wanna do is dance...and tweak..
Well I don't know...but according to my knowledge on raves scene, the best scene are outdoor not indoor club-setting, if it is indoor....far more chance there are few numbers of "selected" people who are gonna come...and we don't want that right?...it's pretty much the same condition going on down here...same old people...same organizer...same b*** **** tp ya itu lagi better than nothing going on completely

familiar with his spinning style....well he's cool and got all the majority of the mass ...deep house and filtered garage.....

gue kalo setiap jumat sih ke Nation club, the number 1 rave club in DC. paling gede aja. asik sihh..di dalem, tapi ada pationya juga. kebetulan kan skrg udah panas udaranya...so mereka akan buka patio jumat ini. nama partynya tiap jumat Buzz..DC residentnya Scott Henry, Tall Paul, etc. asik juga lho. ruangannya gede...front room they always put drum n bass...main room..nah ini dia room fave gue ::nyam2::: trance, deep house, ambient, etc. Paul oakenfold dua kali lho spinning disitu. terus ada 2 level ke atas buat santai2 duduk. it's such a cool club. kalo iseng, check out their website at http://www.buzzdc.com

but one thing that makes me optimistic, is the rave party! kalo lagi jutek emang paling enak deh ke rave party. hilangkan kepenutan sejenak..think about what you should've done...let everything go, not to think 'em as a huge barrier for you. i really feel good about myself caz of that..:)
