I doth wonder if thou shall be interested in trying to attempth to speak the Old Style English? T'is be a magnanimous feat to do, 'for none hath spoken such words for years hath passeth. Mayhaps t'is be the place for thee to speaketh like an intoxicated ape, thus making absolutely no sense whatsoever!

Ok kalo ada yg salah harap dikoreksi ya. :D

I know not how to speaketh or write in such old style. But tis ne'er too late to learn. :D Thou has brought up a great subject, but why hath thou called thyself an intoxicated ape? 'tis a sad thing indeed if thou thinketh thee an ape for knowing words that has doth been forgotten. And for an ape, thy words is not without sense. :P

hehe susah juga ya tulis in the old style.

Unfortunately, there be no authority to preside over the matter of whether our manner of speak be indeed correct. I doth puzzled over it myself.

Nay, pay not any attention to mine slurred speech about an ape. Thou be wise to not spend time to think of it. Be it left alone.

But mayhaps it be to the interest of us if thou shalt know of some helpful 'hints' of this manner of speech.

are=art
is=be
you=thee/thou
(ex. It's for you=It be for thee/You're ignorant=Thou art ignorant)
your=thy
my=mine
shall=shalt
will=wilt
so,=thus,
(ex: so, you should do it=thus, thou should do it)
do=doth (??? not sure)
hint: use obnoxious vocabulary

Pray, ladies/sir, correct me if thou find me in err. Thus also, it be wise if thou can enlighten us more of this manner of speech.

i have not pondered on thou's comment about being an intoxicated ape for far longer than I should. Tis was just a simple question for a man that speaketh in a language many of us hath forgotten. A language that I doth love to read aloud. And it saddens me to say that I know not much about obnoxious vocabulary, my regular one is limited as it is.

But please....I pray thou will allow thyself to become a sort of teacher for the many of us that knoweth little about this language in question. I await thy's 'helpful hints' with equanimity.

::ihiks:: susah juga. hehe

I fear, m'lady, that it be far for this humble man to be of any assistance to the feat of this speech mastery. Thy words flatter me, but the truth naught be hidden. Mine abilities allow me not to educate anyone. Shalt not we learn of this manner of speech together? Little hints art what I offer, and e'en those be certain not.

Mayhaps one could start with rearrangements of grammar? T'is be a convoluted thing to try, but doth try nevertheless.

aisyah248

M'gracious lord. Thou's humility humbles me. I mean not to put thee in the position of educator, but I doth hope thou would share thy's knowledge to the many of us that dost not possess it. If thou can giveth only hints, that there tis more than enough. And learneth this language together we shall.

Tis of no matter to me how convoluted the effort may be. I doth love a challenge. :D:)

So...how dost thou suppose we go about "rearranging our grammar"?

Alas, I comprehend little of grammar rearrangement. Explanation be a futile attempt. But doth bear with me as I shalt make use of examples.

- I can not speak this kind of English
* T'is manner of speech I canst speak
- He's talking like a drunk Yoda
* An intoxicated Yoda he be talking like

Pray forgive me for mine silly examples.

Dear dear lord. Thou hast brought up a creature intoxicated yet again. hehe Tis a Yoda today. hehe Forgive me for I cannot prevent m'self from laugh'n at such a thought. hehe :D

I thank thee for thy hints again. Have thou dost anymore?
And pardon me for asking as to where hath thou learneth to write in this manner? Thy place of learning perhaps? Or didst thou learn this by thyself?

Salah banyak ya gue? hehe

prithee, o my lord...... such ancient language is spoken here ;D ... I like Shakespeare not.... but I shalt attempt to speak his language here...methinks 'tis indeed very interesting...

Here, I have with me a very ancient poem, even far more ancient than those of Shakespeare:

Edward

"Why dois your brand sae drap wi bluid,
Edward, Edward?
Why dois your brand sae drap wi bluid,
And why sae sad gang yee O?"
"O I hae killed my hauke sae guild,
Mither, mither,
O I hae killed my hauke sae guild,
And I had nae mair bot hee O."

"Your haukis bluid was nevir sae reid,
Edward, Edward,
Your haukis bluid was nevir sae reid,
My dear son I tell thee O."
"O I hae killed my reid-roan steid,
Mither, mither,
O I hae killed my reid-roan steid,
That erst was sae fair and frie O."

"Your steid was auld and ye hae gat mair,
Edward, Edward,
Your steid was auld and ye hae gat mair,
Sum other dule ye drie O."
"O I hae killed my fadir deir,
Mither, mither,
O I hae killed my fadir deir,
Alas, and wae is mee O!"

"And whatten penance wul ye drie for that,
Edward, Edward?
And whatten penance wul ye drie for that,
My deir son, now tell me O."
"Ile set my feit in ypnder boat,
Mither,mither,
Ile set my feit in ypnder boat,
And Ile fare ovir the sea O."

"And what wul ye doe wi your towirs and your ha,
Edward,Edward,
And what wul ye doe wi your towirs and your ha,
That were sae fair to see O?"
"Ile let thame stand tul they doun fa,
Mither,mither,
Ile let thame stand tul they doun fa,
For here nevir mair maun I bee O."

"And what wul ye leive to your bairns and your wife,
Edward, Edward?
And what wul ye leive to your bairns and your wife,
Whan ye gang ovir the sea O?"
"The warldis room, late them beg thrae life,
For thame never mair wul I see O."

"And what wul ye leive to your ain meither deir,
Edward,Edward?
And what wul ye leive to your ain meither deir?
My deir son, now tell me O."
"The curse of hell frae me sall ye beir,
Mither,mither,
The curse of hell frae me sall ye beir,
Sic counseils ye gave to me O."

----------End----------------------

Well please read it and give me your opinion about it....
Thou, I might have made some mistakes with the punctuations.... but as far as the speeling goes, I'm pretty sure I typed all of them correctly....;D
Anybody understand it well???

My English teacher once told me that Shakespearean language is considered as "Modern English" not "Ancient"...
Then she said something in "Old English", which to me, sounded more like a French, but not exactly French, if you know what I mean (well, since I know French a little) .... ;D.....I didn't understand it at all... It sounded more like a different language rather than English ;D.... with very srong "r" sound.....

Hope you'll like the "Edward" poem above... it took me so long to type all of those weird words ;D....

Pray forgive me for mine lack of response to t'is conversation. T'is be the time 'fore the sun rises, and for thine knowledge, sleep be evading me.

Alas, none taught me of this manner of speech, thus none told me of the proper way to do so. Nary doth mine speech be true of form. Nay, only thine ignorance saveth me from mine idiocy. E'en if it be intoxication that compels me in such frivolity, thou yet doth listen to such a nincompoop as I. Flattery doth I receive from thine generosity. :D :D

As I read what I hath thus saith, I feel it be proper for me to express mine thought in another way.

If I may give an assistance to this manner of speech, that is, I would recommend for thee to learneth proper modern English first. I find it to be a great help in talking like such. Alas, I canst give proper instructions in proper modern English. Mayhaps t'is better if thou consult with some other.
