This drama is about four different characters with different ambitions and paths in their lives. Jung Da So (Song Hae Gyo) is a young single mother who's raising a little girl her 'sister' from the orphanage left behind when she was killed in a car accident along with her husband. Although life is difficult, she continues to bear through it along with her love of making soft drinks. She also finds her 'Soo Ho Chun Sah' in Ha Tae Oong (Kim Min Jong), who is a good-hearted ggang pae who grew up with his uncle, the magician at a cabaret, and never learned the proper manners in life. What he doesn't know is that he is the product of a very rich man's affair with his mistress... Lee Sae Hyun (Yoon Da Hoon) is the younger half-brother of Woorie Eum Lyo Company's president and owner (Lee Soon Jae). He will do whatever he can to rise to the top no matter what he destroys or who he hurts along the way. He feels threatened by Tae Oong when he discovers that he is the son of his brother. Hong Ji Soo (Kim Min) is the secretary at Woorie Eum Lyo and also Sae Hyun's secret lover. Like Sae Hyun, she also has dreams of rising to the top but that is mostly because she grew up poor and wants to escape from her background. As the lives of these four characters entangle, the drama unfolds.

Won Bin - Kyoko Fukada

Tomoko Asai (Kyoko Fukada) is invited to go on a three-day trip to Hong-Kong with her colleague Yuko Yamagishi (Akiko Yada). But on reaching Hong-Kong, Yuko left Tomoko to be with her boyfriend who lived there. Tomoko is alone in Hong-Kong. She is not fluent in English, and to make things worse, her bag is snatched in the streets. Tomoko finally catches the thief and reports him to the police, but to her dismay it is the wrong person ... a young Korean man.

Thus, Tomoko and Kim Ji Hoon met under the worst possible circumstances. The innocent Ji Hoon is freed and they leave the police station together. Tomoko repeatedly apologizes to Ji Hoon who is angry and offended.

Ji Hoon was brought up in a strict Korean family. Though dreaming of being a film director, he feels obliged to live up to his family's expectations and inherit his father's company. Before doing so, Ji Hoon had come to Hong Kong to shoot a film as a memoir.

Since Tomoko has lost all her money, Ji Hoon is obliged to treat her dinner. In return, she offers to be a model for Ji Hoon's film. Though they can't communicate in words, as time unfolds they start to feel something for each other, and exchange a kiss in the nightscape of Hong Kong. It was an unforgettable two-day experience for the two.

Tomoko returns to daily life in Tokyo, to her everyday routine of going to and fro between home and her workplace. Ji Hoon also resumes studying to meet up to his parents' expectations, suppressing his dreams to be a film director.

One day, Ji Hoon receives an e-mail in Japanese. "Hello, this is Tomoko...." This is the beginning of their e-mail correspondence. Tomoko and Ji Hoon are gradually drawn to each other through their e-mail exchange, but various obstacles come in their way.

His on-again, off-again girlfriend is Heng Jah (Park Sun Young), who is crazy about him. But Soo Chul's attitude about life changes after he meets Yuh Kyung, with whom he falls in love with. After Seung Li's mother deserts her with her boyfriend, she finds her way to the Jang family and the secrets of the past are revealed to Seung Li and Kyung Bin.

Jang Gi Poong (Chan Tae Hyun), grew up spoiled by his grandfather. He's a major playboy who doesn't take anything seriously in life. All he needs is money. He soon finds a 100 uhk check which states that this department store owes his grandfather that much money. But getting that money isn't that easy. She doesn't want to betray her father by giving up. Gi Poong starts to stalk Chae Lin for the money and she gets really annoyed. Then she asks him for a favor by asking if he could act as if she already paid him. Then the other people she owed debts to, will think that she doesn't have any money left right now to pay them back now. In return, she will try her best to save the business and pay him back. He is reluctant at first, but then she packs her suitcase and moves in with him so he can keep an eye on her.

Their leader is Kang Suhk, played by Ahn Jae Wook. But then, they need a keyboard player. This younger kid who gets their help from other ggang-paes suggests that his older sister can play the keyboard for them. So they meet Sang Eun (Kim Ji Soo). She's very tomboyish and gets what she wants. The other three guys practically drool over her, but Kang Suhk doesn't like her that much at first, but later, they become friends, but Sang Eun starts to really like Kang Suhk. Then, they all graduate from high school and go their seperate ways. Kang Suhk goes to the army and takes a trip around the world. On the way back from the airport, he's in a taxi and sees this really beautiful girl driving. That girl is Young Suh (Song Yun Ah), this really dorky-looking girl who used to come over to Kang Suhk's house with her dad and brother when he was back in high school. He is taken by her beauty, but doesn't know that she is Young Suh. Of course, later he finds out who she is and how she's had a crush on him for a long time and they fall in love. But then, a problem occurs between their families and it's not so easy being together. Plus, Sang Eun still loves Kang Suhk

Sae Na wants to be a singer so Yun Soo hopes that she will see her there someday. But when Yun Soo finds Sae Na, a misunderstanding keeps Sae Na from growing close with Yun Soo. To make matters worse, Sae Na falls for Sun Jae, while Sun Jae and Yun Soo grow close. Yun Soo is deadly caught between two guys while Sae Na struggles to be a singer. The two girls go to school together. Ja Young is always #1 in the whole school while Shin Hee is a nahl la lee. Shin Hee convinces Ja Young to let her cheat and it sort of becomes a habit. Ja Young ends up taking Shin Hee's college entrance exam to get Shin Hee into college and in return, her parents get an apartment. She herself has to wait an extra year to go to college. During that year, Ja Young meets Seung Jae (Son Ji Chang), a neighborhood security guard. They start dating for a while, then he dumps her cause he thought she was a rich girl, because of the house she always came out of, which was Shin Hee's. One day, at Shin Hee's birthday party, Hyun Woo (Ryu Shi Won) comes, but on the way, he accidentally splashes Ja Young with his car. He apologizes and stuff. Shin Hee likes Hyun Woo, who is the only son of a rich family. But he starts paying attention to Ja Young and sends gifts to her thru Shin Hee. Shin Hee is VERY mad. Ja Young gets into college with highest honors. She starts going to the same college as Shin Hee and Hyun Woo. Hyun Woo sees Ja Young and starts following her everywhere. Ja Young thinks he is playing a joke. Hyun Woo even gets a job as a waiter at the place Ja Young is working at. Eventually, she returns his feelings and they fall in love.He even wants to go study abroad with her, but of course his parents don't want him too and Shin Hee trys to keep them apart by using Seung Jae. Then they meet again when he starts working as a photographer at the wedding planning place she works at. They really hate each other at first and fight like cats and dogs, but then they start softening up and start to fall in love without even knowing it. Weird things happen like a popcorn explosion. The supporting characters like Hyun Soo's wheelchaired younger brother Chang Soo (Jung Joon) is what makes this drama so bright and fun to watch. For Song Seung Hun fans, you see a new side to his character and even though Kim Gyu Ri has some flaws, she tries her best to make her character lovable and a cute match with Song Seung Hun.

Her first uncle is a teacher at the high school, her second uncle is a policeman, and her 22 year old uncle is STILL a senior in high school. Her oldest uncle is already married, whose aunt thinks of Ggok Ji as her own daughter, because they dont have any children. Well, the grandfather is not the real father of Ok Bun (Ggok Ji's mom) because she was the child of his wife and another man so he was not very nice to her.

Her father tries to do everything he can to set her up with men night after night by throwing parties on a boat. (One of the guys she is set up with is Ahn Jae Wook... i guess he was making a guest appearance). She doesn't find the right one and wants to go back to London and study. But then by accident, she lies to her father and says she does have a boyfriend back in London who is a professor. Her father is very happy so she can't tell him later that she lied. Her secretary (Choi Lan) contacts her ex-boyfriend from years ago who is a struggling movie director and asks him to find someone. He searches and searches but fails at finding someone right. He is also living with his wife and some other people including a jja jang myun delivery boy (Hong Kyung In) and a young girl who works at a hair salon (Choi Jung Yoon) and a water delivery guy named Kim Yong Nam (Kim Seung Woo). When the jja jang myun delivery boy gets in jail, Yong Nam reluctantly agrees to be that rich girl's fake boyfriend. Su Jin and Yong Nam come from two different worlds and they start out their fake love to convince her dad she has a boyfriend, but eventually, that fake love turns to real love.

Ho Jung and Soo Ji's third friend is Cha Hee (Choi Yoon Young). Cha Hee is the type of girl any guy would go for. She's tall, beautiful, and attractive. Zhi Xian quarreled with Zhong He for not allowing to work after their marriage. She went to Thailand for holiday. Kang Xu stop over in Thailand for holiday after attending a seminar in Singapore. Zhi Xian met Kang Xu and it was love at first sight. Both of them had a great time together and had forgotten that they are both engaged to someone to the extend having sexual relationship.

Zhong He came to Thailand after Zhi Xian spending a few days with Kang Xu and brought Zhi Xian back to Seoul. Kang Xu came back one day later. Both Zhi Xian and Kang Xu were still thinking about each other when they are back and could not forget each other. They met accidentally two times and on the second time, Min Jing found out that Kang Yu is in love with Zhi Xian but was told that Zhi Xian too is engaged with Zhong He.

Zhong He on the other hand received from a reporter, photos of Zhi Xian and Kang Xu together in Thailand. Zhong He's father also received news that Zhi Xian had another boyfriend. In view of this and also to stop all the rumors, Zhi Xian was forced to stop her work as a drama script writer and marry Zhong He. Zhong He agreed to allow her the option to continue with their marriage or end it after one year trial. After their marriage, Zhi Xian was very unhappy with her new life especially her mother-in-law did not treat her well. Even though Zhong He loves her very much but he is too busy with his business and only comes home at 2 – 3 am four times a week and when he is home the rest of the time, he spends time trying to catch up with his sleep.

Kang Yu reassured Min Jing that nothing had changed and he will try to forget Zhi Xian. They too got married.

Min Jing got pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl. Zhi Xian too got pregnant twice but both were miscarriage due to too much stress and bad health. Zhi Xian was completely disappointed with her present lifestyle not being able to write drama scripts and her health is failing on her as she cannot sleep well. You know she need to open the door for her husband, Zhong He every night at 2 – 3 am and has to wake up at 5.30 am

Before Zhi Xian was discharged from the hospital, she contacted Kang Xu and wanted to meet him again. They met by the beach and later Zhi Xian returned to the hospital. Zhong He brought Zhi Xian home after she was discharged from the hospital. Zhi Xian asked Zhong He for a divorce as they were married for more than a year. She cannot live another day in Zhong He's house. Zhong He told her that he loved her very much and don't she love him too, she did not answer him. Zhi Xian left the house without telling anyone and rented a studio apartment and she stayed there for five days without contacting anyone. She finally contacted her parents and informed them about her intention. Zhi Xian's family supported her fully in getting a divorce as they saw how much she had suffered.

Zhong He went round asking all whom she was acquainted with but he just cannot find her. In the end, he asked a number of property agents and he found her. Zhong He promised to slowly release the news to his parents as there was no history of divorce in his family but she need to go home with him first and let they plan how to go about it. Zhong He actually used this opportunity to persuade Zhi Xian to change her mind but her mind is set. He had to release her with no choice.

On the other hand, Min Jing found the email correspondence of Kang Xu and Zhi Xian and also overheard a phone conversation between them. She immediately divorced Kang Xu, leaving their daughter in his custody.

After more than one year, the divorce procedures had ended, Chong He met Zhi Xian at Zhi Xian's best friend's wedding. Chong He tried again but in vain, Zhi Xian is very happy with her present lifestyle. Chong He's mother continues to match make him but he just unlike everyone, no one can replace Zhi Xian in his heart.

Kang Xu just returned from Japan after being there for one year of study. Min Jing informed him that Zhi Xian had divorced. Zhi Xian learnt from a friend that Kang Xu had divorced and she immediately called him. They met by the beach and the show ended.

They thought that they have forgotten each other until she comes back after several years to the same hospital he works at. Whenever they see each other they end up in quarrelling. They find each other too far and even their surgery styles are quite different. When carrying out a surgery, Hyun-Woo is cautious and rational whereas Hah-Kyung is emotional and volitional. They are different and they refuse to step back and accept each other's difference. Between them is Joon-Seoh, another college friend of theirs. He is rather irresolute but he has a belief in himself to become a capable doctor. He has a wife but as soon as he hears that Hah-Kyung has come back from abroad, he leaves his wife and starts a life on his own. But the good fortune never seems to be on his side. Because of the separation, he is miserable at home, and a patient who has been contaminated by a virus during the surgery is about to sue him.
Soo-Yeon is a girl in her 1st year training as a doctor. She has a man in her memory. Before the graduation, a man in blue mask had helped her when she blacked out while inspecting a surgery. That ;is why she has studied for the neurology. Actually it is Hyun-Woo who had helped her but she assumes that it might be In-Chan and tries to get close to him. In-Chan is also attracted to her kind gentleness when handling the patients. Soo-Yeon first gets to know In-Chan transferring a patient to the Neurology Department. Soo-Yeon, at first, thought that the patient's symptom might be a mere headache but it turns out to be a tumor growing in the brain. Hyun-Woo, seeing no hope, decides what he can do best for her is to make her ready to accept the death calmly. But Soo-Yeon wants to hang on to the every little hope left. Hyun-Woo does not like her being too emotional and Soo-Yeon thinks that he is too cold and cruel. Hah-Kyung volunteers for the surgery and opens her brain. But she sees that the tumor has already conquered the brain. Admitting that she was wrong, she has to re-close the brain, nothing done. Through all this misunderstanding and struggles, Soo-Yeon gradually learn what it is to become a doctor.
Hyun-Woo's father is a christian priest and that is why Hyun-Woo decided to become a doctor in rebound. He does not understand his father's entrusting the issue of death to God alone. He knows that he can interfere with life and death of human beings as a doctor. His affection toward Hah-Kyung still remains in his heart but it is just that he does not know how to express it after all those years. And he sees another girl... Soo-Yeon. Soo-Yeon's purity and naiveness moves his heart every time he sees her. Hah-Kyung does not agree with Hyun-Woo's view at the world, but he still is her first love. She has thoght that she pushed him out of her mind. But as Soo-Yeon appears between them, her heart is reignited.
Soo-Yeon also can not help being attracted to Hyun-Woo although thinking that he seems to be cold hearted. Her affection turns to love when she finally finds out that it is Hyun-Woo, not In-Chan, who has helped her many years ago.
One day, Hyun-Woo's elder brother comes in an ambulance broken down with the same illness that has killed their father. But Soo-Yeon constantly persuades him and he goes into the operating room where his brother is lying. During the operation, he comes close to understanding his father and brother's faith in God. But he will do his best within the limited power of what he has been given. To do this, he needs a help who will fulfill his less-perfect self and he asks Soo-Yeon to marry him.
Hyun-Woo and Soo-Yeon are away on a honeymoon and the hospital seems empty to lonely Hah-Kyung and In-Chan. But 'wasting away the time' is not theirs to spend. Soon the patients rush into the emergency room. Hyun-Woo and Soo-Yeon also return from the honeymoon earlier than the plan and another busy day in the hospital dawns.

Getting absorbed in the case, Min-Kyu decides to be a lawyer himself.
Hyung-Man, an old lawyer, wants to pass all his knowledge onto Min-Kyu and another female student Eun-Ji. Therefore Min-Kyu and Eun-Ji joins a little law office run by a female lawyer Hwa-Young under the custody of Hyung-Man.
"Sin-Hwa" is the biggest law firm in Korea and a female lawyer, Hae-Mi, is their treasure. She is practising to be the prominent lawyer while Min-Kyu is dealing with trivial cases in a humble law office. And finally the day comes when Min-Kyu and Hae-Mi stand against each other in a court. It has happened as Min-Kyu found out that his childhood friend, Myung-Seok, is suspected of a murder. Min-Kyu jumps into the case only to help his miserable friend but soon realizes that it is not a trivial case. Behind it is a dark conspiracy of a big enterprise "Dong-Jin Group" run by notorious Hyuk-Soo.
Knowing too well his friend Myung-Seok's character and that he is never a man to murder anyone, Min-Kyu does his best to prove Myung-Seok's innocence. Min-Kyu goes to the house of the dead victim and obtains a diskette that may hold some important factors. He even chases the criminals himself endangering his life. His sincerity finally reveals the truth and Myung-Seok is proved not-guilty.
One day Min-Kyu returns home and finds out that someone has ransacked the house. He vaguely feels that there might be something big about the diskette he had found from the murdered man's drawer. But before he proceeds to do anything he is proposed to join the law firm "Sin-Hwa".
Seung-Kwon, the head of "Sin-Hwa" is attracted to Min-Kyu and his purity and sacrifice in his duty, proposes him to join his group. Min-Kyu is reluctant to leave Eun-Ji and his little law office but he has no choice when he finds out that his mother is dying of cancer and that she urgently needs a great deal of money to go to the hospital.
Joon-Sung is the promised successor of the "Sin-Hwa Law Firm" and he is anxious to know that the head of the office is interested in Min-Kyu. But with the intention of victimizing Min-Kyu as the "fall-guy" of the group, he agrees on bringing Min-Kyu into the "Sin-Hwa Law Firm".
Eun-Ji is worried to see Min-Kyu joining the dreadfully big law firm. But she soothes herself thinking that it is all for the best and returns alone to Hwa-Young and their little law office.
Min-Kyu is amazed at the high pay and the abundant benefit of the law firm as well as its heavy work and training. He feels himself adjusting to the new environment much sooner than he thought. And sooner he also gets close to Hae-Mi which ignites the jealousy of Joon-Sung who has been after her for several years. Min-Kyu's first case is to save a man from paying too much indemnity to the man he had injured by running over with a car. Min-Kyu is trained to do anything to win the case. He sneaks around the injured man's poor house and takes photos of the man in active motion to prove that the man is not actually critically injured. The opponent lawyer is Hwa-Young under whom Min-Kyu once worked when he was beginning the career. But nothing stops Min-Kyu with his ambition to win the case. Eun-Ji is sad to see how Min-Kyu has changed for he had always stood by the little people.
When Eun-Ji hears that Min-Kyu's mother is dying in a hospital and that it is very costly, she urges his father Dong-Kwan to sell some of his jewelry. Dong-Kwan has a secret of his past which Eun-Ji does not know. He has been a notorious thief when young but was caught by Seung-Kwon. And when his little daughter was killed in a car accident in the arresting scene, he kidnaps Seung-Kwon's little daughter for revenge. Dong-Kwan is a notorious thief but he is pure in his heart that he can never hurts others. He kidnaps but does not hurt Seung-Kwon's little daughter. He raises her with affection as if she is his own and... that is Eun-Ji. He would do anything to fulfill Eun-Ji's wish and he sells out the precious ancient jewelry. But it is such a precious one that the jewelry market talks about it and it also reaches Seung-Kwon. Recognizing that it is his own, long lost jewelry, Seung-Kwon feels that Dong-Kwan and his daughter might be living somewhere and he sets out men to search for them.
Not knowing anything about the secret of her birth, Eun-Ji's heart aches to see that Min-Kyu seems to be in love with Hae-Mi. Thinking that it is all for the best for Min-Kyu, she gives him up. She sets out again to study law which she had stopped in the middle and becomes the professional lawyer herself.
In the meanwhile, Joon-Sung, who can not stand the jealousy to see Min-Kyu and Hae-Mi getting closer to each other, tricks Min-Kyu to fall in a trap. Min-Kyu is suspected of a false crime set up by Joon-Sung and Min-Kyu gets imprisoned. Even Hae-Mi suspects his innocence and Eun-Ji is the only one who believes in Min-Kyu's innocence. She alone tries to reveal the truth. In doing so Eun-Ji naturally approaches "Sin-Hwa" and Seung-Kwon notices his long lost daughter. Joon-Sung, who dreams to be the successor of the "Sin-Hwa" law firm, is anxious at Eun-Ji's appearance and tries to prohibit her from being exposed to the truth. He kills Dong-Kwan, the step-father of Eun-Ji and makes Eun-Ji think that he is murdered by Seung-Kwon.
At the verge of Seung-Kwon's confessing the past to Eun-Ji, Joon-Sung loses his mind and fires at Seung-Kwon. But the miss fired bullet injures Eun-Ji critically. Min-Kyu is freed from the prison by the evidence of innocence gathered by Eun-Ji and he is moved by Eun-Ji's deep true love.
In the hospital, Hae-Mi sees that Seung-Kwon and Min-Kyu insist to transplant their own kidney to save Eun-Ji from her fatal condition and she feels that there is only one last thing left for her to do before she goes away to train more on her career. She attacks "Dong-Jin Group" and regains the diskette she once have handed to Joon-Sung and the diskette has it all. The good and just are the ones who remains at the end to grin in happiness and peace.

Joon-Seop is an automobile designer and among his men is a young man called In-Ha. In-Ha is in his twenties. While Young-Ji was working for Joon-Seop's company, she has chance to meet In-Ha. In-Ha falls in love with Young-Ji at one moment of seeing her not knowing that she is the girl friend of Joon-Seop. Young-Ji also is attracted to In-Ha's pure loving heart, but when he actually says "I love you", she is miserable not knowing what to do. She knows that she can not accept his love but she is surprise to see herself reluctant to say "no" to him.
To forget In-Ha, she accepts Joon-Seop's propose and decides to marry him. Meanwhile she goes to the doctor for she has a constant pain in her stomach. When the doctor tells her that she has a cancer tumor and she has only a few monthes left to live, her heart struggles with a strong urge to live. A young and bright girl joins to work in the automobile company where In-Ha works. She is a very proud girl, looking down on everybody else. But she shows In-Ha her weak side for she falls in love with him. She is the daughter of the boss of the company and people are envious of In-Ha that he would get everything: the girl and the company. But In-Ha knows that he does not love her. Besides the memory of Young-Ji in his heart, another girl catches his heart. She is a humble girl working in a car-service where In-ha drops by often. This quiet and pure girl reminds In-Ha of Young-Ji. But this girl would not open her heart to him knowing that his heart will never be hers for it is occupied with the memories of Young-Ji and the fancy daughter of the enterprise.
However sick and tired of the intrigues and struggles of the rich people trying to get hold of the company, he leaves them all, including the daughter of the enterprise. Leaving all the world of ambition and success behind, he looks for the girl working in the car-service. When she sees that the memory of Young-Ji in his heart is only a memory and that he needs someone "living" to rest his tired shoulders, she accepts his love.

The Successful Story of Bright Girl

Cha Yang-soon (Jang Na Ra) is a poor country girl, who has a heart as big and bright as the sun. Because of her family's problem, she lives with her grandmother. One day she is told that she has to move to Seoul to work as a housekeeper of a family whom owns a make-up company.

When Yang-soon arrives in Seoul she finds out that the owner's partner of the company died and that she must tend to the family son, Gi-tae (Jang Hyuk). Gi-tae is irresponsible and Yang-soon isn't the type of girl to baby Gi-tae around. They often have their times of arguments, but as Yang-soon cares for Gi-tae, she also teaches him lessons as well.

Yang-soon must persevere with Gi-tae so she can help him bring back the companies image and fight his evil cousin Joon-tae (Ryu Su-young), as well as put up with the spoiled Na-hee (Han Eun-jung).

Kang Jin-suk (Lee Joo-hyun) and Kim Shin-ae (Chae rim) were brought up as brother and sister in an orphanage. Shin-ae thinks that they are really blood siblings, but what she does not know is that they are not related at all...and as they grow up Jin-suk will fall in love with Shin-ae.

As children, they would always sit upon a hill that overlooks a beautiful house. One day miraculously, they are adopted by the couple that lives in that very same house. The couple has a son, Min-hyung (adult Min-hyung is played by Park Yong-ha), and he isn't too thrilled about his parents adopting them. Min-hyung and Jin-suk have a hard time getting along.

Many years pass, and now Shin-ae is in college....she has a passion to dance ballet. Shin-ae meets up with a girl who shares the same interest as her, Soh Ga-hee (Kim So-yun). The two girls become pretty good friends. At this point, Min-hyung is coming back from America from studying abroad. He comes back with strong feelings for Shin-ae inside, which he never knew would happen. He too has a passion of dancing (not exactly ballet).

Ga-hee sparks an interest for Shin-ae's brother Jin-suk...but it's a one-sided love because Jin-suk secretly loves Shin-ae. As Shin-ae find out the truth about her "brother", all four young adults will be getting a taste of pain. Which may bring up problems between Ga-hee and Shin-ae's friendship.....and also the relationship between the three unblood related siblings, Jin-suk, Shin-ae and Min-hyung. And a surprising secret is revealed about Min-hyung's relationship to a famous dancer.

This Is Love

This is a story about love and family. Cha Joo-bum is just getting over his girlfriends death. He later meets Park Hoon-sook, who brings back love into Joo-bum's life. The only problem is, he doesn't know the truth about Hoon-sook. Hoon-sook studied abroad for a few years, and she just came back from America. She didn't come alone, she came with a child she gave birth to in the States. The father of the child left her for another woman. Ki-bum, Joo-bum's younger brother wants to marry Oh Young-ah, but his father doesn't want him to marry until Joo-bum does. At first Ki-bum's father disliked Young-ah, but after finding out that she was the granddaughter of the nice woman who helped him and his father out (in the past), he agreed on their relationship. Young-ah is actually Hoon-sook's cousin. But Hoon-sook's mother is not close to her own family.

This drama tells the story of these three families (Joo-bum, Hoon-sook and Young-ah's family) and the troubles they have to overcome for love. Once Hoon-sook's secret comes out, hardship will soon arise for each family.

Two newborn baby girls are born on the same day, one of the babies father is on the run because gangsters are trying to take his money away. To protect the money, he switches his baby (Han Goe-eun) with another baby's (Kang Sung-yun) family and leaves the money with his child. He manages to run away and leaves the baby he switched with his wife.

As the girl's grow up to adults, they coincidentally become good friends. Han Go-eun's 'family' are rich because of the money her real father left from the beginning. Han Go-eun's character often uses and takes Kang Sung-yun's character for granted. Han Go-eun asks Kang Sung-yun to write love letters for her, to her boyfriend in America, Kim Tae-woo's character.

When Kim Tae-woo returns to Korea, Kang Sung-yun realizes that she is in love with the man she have been the letters to and have never met till now?! Which leaves Kim Tae-woo confused. Han Go-eun and Kim Tae-woo starts to fight more often and Tae-woo would go to Sung-yun for comfort.

Because of the awkwardness, the two friends, Han Go-eun and Kang Sung-yun turn their backs on each other. Kang Sung-yun marries Kim Tae-woo...but this is not a happy ending

The boss at the company, Hoon (Lee Chang Hoon) is the nephew of the company's president. He likes Soo Li and is nice to her and this makes Dohk Go Jin even more jealous. The son of the president of the company is Joon Hwe (Ahn Jae Mo), and he has caused problems in the past but is set on becoming a man and starts out at a very low position undercover at the company. He falls for Soo Li too but is also aware that his older brother-like cousin Hoon is also interested in her too. But he falls for her honesty and natural qualities. She doesn't know he is the son of the owner and is really rude to him at the beginning and doesn't realize how much he loves her. Dohk Go Jin never thought much of Joon Hwe before, but after she finds out who he is, she starts making moves on him instead of Hoon.

The Present

Her assistant, Jin Xin Hao (played by Park Kyung Hyen) is not co-operative and all the rest of the staff are very selfish. Xin Hao got closer to Zai Jing after he saved her when she was trapped in between two compactus while checking stocks. With Xin Hao leading the team, the working environment improved and they came in top in the chain of Home Plaza Supermarkets.
Xin Hao fell in love with Zai Jing after going through many hardships together.

Li Ren Ju thought he was the son of Jin Ying Shou, Chairman of Home Plaza but Ying Shou never acknowledge him. He plotted to take revenge on Ying Shou with Mr Ben, Managing Director of Home Plaza whose aim was to take over the Home Plaza chain. Ren Ju's mother Zhao Ying Shun died after being sick for many years and from the things she left behind, Ren Ju found letters, Ying Shun wrote to Ying Shou returned unopened. Ying Shun said she had to deserted her boyfriend, Ying Shou because she was raped by Li Shi Zhen, whom she later married. She was tortured by Shi Zhen because in his eyes, he thinks Ren Ju is Ying Shou's son but in actual fact Shi Zhen is Ren Ju's biological father.

Han Re Mei is an orphan working in Home Plaza Supermarket. Her boyfriend, Luo Feng Chu (played by Lee Jong Su) has been living on Re Mei for three years. She supported him, paying for his food, rental and tuition fees. When he finally found a job in Home Plaza's Marketing Department, he fell in love with the Departmental Head, Wu Zhen Hua (played by Ye Ji Woo). Feng Chu tried to show off, he bought a car using his credit card to pay for the monthly installments. He broke off with Re Mei.

Li Lian Xi is happily married to Quan Ze Shou (played by Kim Byung Se) with their only daughter, Ai Li, 3 years old. Ze Shou is working in the Senior Management in Home Plaza. Lian Xi was shocked to find out that Ze Shou has been seeing Wu Zhen Hua, his colleague. After promising Lian Xi, he will not flirt, Ze Shou continues again and again. Lian Xi vowed to take her revenge.

Zai Jing, Re Mei and Lian Xi helped each other to take revenge on their men.

Ren Ju was caught by the police passing the Company's business plan to a rival company. Zai Jing plotted the whole event with Xin Hao. Xin Hao proposed to Zai Jing before she leaves for further studies and Zai Jing accepted it.

Lian Xi's aunt, Jin Shan is a rich fashion designer. She acted as Re Mei's long lost mother and showed Feng Chu that Re Mei has become rich. LBH is a boxer turned professional. He married Shim Un Ha,(she is a widow with two kids. At first the kids could not accept LBH as their stepfather but later their dislike turn to love and they called LBH Papa.).

Look out for the second male lead who is a doctor working together with Shim Un Ha's father. He loved Shim Un Ha very much and on the day of their engagement, she did not turned up. She was already in love with LBH. This male lead is none other than the "TA SU" in Guardian Angel. The bad uncle. He was quite plump in this show. Shim Un Ha 's father is the baseball coach in Happy together drama.

Look out too for SSH(Autumn In my Heart). He is acting a small part and he is BAD. LBH later coached him boxing as LBH sees that he has potential.

Just to let you know, this drama as a sad ending. After winning the boxing competition, LBH sat down to have dinner with his family and then lay down on the bed breathing his last.

Most touching part in the show is the part where LBH helps his mother financially without the mother knowing that he is her son. Cos she has abandon him in an orphanage and the orphanage people has given LBH a photo of her carrying him asa baby. So you see, LBH recognised her but not vice versa. Only when he died holding the photo, then she realised who he is but too late.


When LBH wanted to get married, he lied to her that since he is an orphan, he needed an elderly person to witness the ceremony. She obliged and on that wedding day, LBH was the most happiest person on earth.

Actually, this drama is so-so. LBH troughout the show is always having either swollen cheeks, bruises on the face or blood dripping down. And worse part is the ending. That boxing match was to be LBH last match as he intend to hang up his boxing gloves.

But they eventually break up because he chooses money and power over Su Yun. Tae Ha becomes engaged to the lady's daughter Mi Sun (Choi Gang Hee) while still loving Su Yun. This drama is pretty old drama, but very popular in it's time. Choi Soo-jong's character and Bae Young-jun's character are brothers. Both brother's first love was Lee Seung-yun. But Lee Seung-yun's character was in love with Choi Soo-jong. Therefore, Bae Young-jun kept his feelings for Lee Seung-yun inside. Because Lee Seung-yun was from a very wealthy family, her parents did not like Lee Seung-yun seeing Choi Soo-jong. In there high school years, Bae Young-jun would get into fights, and would hang out with the 'bad' crowd.

One day at a movie theater, Choi Soo-jong and Bae Young-jun's slightly mentally disabled sister (very naive) was almost on the verge of getting raped, but the brother's come to the rescue and Bae Young-jun BEATS the man who sexually harrassed their sister. Because of that incident, being the caring older brother, Choi Soo-jong takes the fall and is running away from the police.

Lee Seung-yun and Choi Soo-jong are seperated, but will meet again in the future, with the love for one another still in burning in their hearts. When they do reunite, Lee Seung-yun's parents are none the less dead set against Choi Soo-jong and will stop at nothing to keep them apart. In the mean time Choi Soo-jong will go through trifles of problems.

Towards the end of the drama, Bae Young-jun's character is turning over a new leaf and starts to go to college. He later meet's Choi Ji-woo's character (not much in debt) and her brother, who is in love with Lee Seung-yun.

This drama was a very good drama that tells the story of a two people of different status in Korea and how they would suffer the consequences of love. And also the brotherhood and love within a family going through all means to survive.

Their relationship starts off a little edgy, but soon blossoms as they encounter each other more often. In-ha learned to gamble when he was a little kid. As he got older, he learned how to cheat. His hands became quicker than the eye. He met a girl named Soo-yun, who hated him at first, but later started to like him. He was also a leader of a gang. While attending high school, he met Jung-won, the son of a wealthy hotel owner. In-ha and Jung-won became quick friends. However, they got into trouble for killing a gang leader who harrassed Soo-yun and her father after they failed to repay a loan. In-ha and Jung-won were arrested and sentenced to jail for 7 years. Jung-won got cleared because of his father, but In-ha had to serve his time in jail. There, he met and made friends with the leader and a member of another gang. When In-ha was set free, he went home, but had to move because a gang was after him.

In the meantime, Jung-won went to college in America and met Jin-hee there. He knew that she was the daughter of his father's old boss. They had met before briefly, but Jung-won was too shy then.

After In-ha was arrested, Soo-yun decided to become a nun. After 7 years, however, she realized that she was not meant to be one and went on to become a casino dealer. That is where In-ha, Soo-yun, Jung-won and Jin-hee all met. Now a story of romance, jealousy and violence begins
