View Full Version : Science, the answer to everything?

Is science really the answer of what we need to know? Is it really? What does science initially trying to achieve? is it to answer everything? Well ... to explain ... maybe, but to answer? I'm not sure. Can Science really explain the everything?

Is there anything 'bigger' than Science or what Science can achieve? Some crirics say that Religion is trustworthier than Science, some say the total opposite. Can Science explain the existance of a supreme being out there somewhere? Or there isn't any out there? How do we know? In fact, how do we know what's right or wrong anymore?

kalo gwa bilang sih itu tergantung pribadi masing masing...ada yg lebih make logic....ada yg lebih maen feeling.....tunggu aja ampe TOE bisa diketemuin...pasti itu jawabannya....:D:D:D

how about the impotance of each subject and their effects on our lives. out of the two, there gotta have to be the one that matters more than the other. in fact, what do you believe in, in life? how can a two way direction can be made a one way, without breaking the law? is it impossible? or not really?

can human mind comprehend all this? realistically speaking, can human mind understand everything? human mind capabilities is, with no doubt, exceed human logic expectatio, but can it really grasp EVERYTHING? do you think you understand EVERYTHING, scientifically speaking?

do we really need a supreme being up there somewhere to do our bit in the mystical part of existence? or are we capable of running and operating ourselves? is knowledge is really power? people can choose but truth can never change, the fact that you are a professor or a man of god cannot change the fact that you have done something wrong. can it? it is a fixed, ultimate reality and truth.

knowlege is power. but does power is being used to acquire more knowledge, or is it used merely to demonstrate one's optimum capabilities and competitive comparison? does it really matter what the end result is? when the truth is grasped, absorbed and utilised, can there be any flaw, still?

it is a cliche that perfection is an unattainable goal, but do we really realize it truthfully? or do we hide behind our selves behind what our own knowlege?

Essentially speaking, can science make all this all clear to the mankind, without clouding their mind with any current information jargons or TLA's?

off record...tolong ngaa usah berantem gara-gara ini:for me.....God must have a realllyyyy boring life......coz he can do anything and he knows everything....maybe thats why he created us humans.....

i have no intention to initiate any sort of emotional argument, emotion is not in my dictionary :D, i merely asked questions, questions that sometimes i ask myself, people and what so called 'god'.

who is god anyway? i believe that we live life not because we have to , but because we meant to. yet, i also belive that we are here today because we were put here by whoever, and for whatever.

religion is man made, therefore it is ful of flaws and imperfections. in other words, ::fu:: it. :D hehehe anything 'man made' is full of flaws, and science is a vehicle for us to self-teach that fact and to design a user-friendly manual ... well at least thats what people think.

outside that one big problem about spirituality, religion, God or gods, and some thing better solved with social science, perhaps natural science would answer a lot that it looks like answering everything

Hm... it makes sense .... how about the perception of those who worship science and those who made it their god? is the term 'excessive' ever comes across their mind? or your mind? (not pointing any finger here okay :D)

God, for me, is not described with the word 'who'. It will be described with the word 'what'... Everyone can have their own Gods. ::fu:: it, I think my God is the net !! Why !? Cuz sometimes I get ol at an insane amount of time... I once played a PC games for 2x24 hours !! No eat, no sleep... Now, that's my God...

Personally, I think God, is an escape for something human can't reach. When their knowledge hits the solid wall, they'll say, "God make this". Everyone entitled their own God, IMO....

Back to topics, science... it's just as vast as our knowledge of it, and nothing over it. Everything goes over our knowledge, either called fantasy, or dreams... And since our science is just as vast as our knowledge, and there's tons of things we don't know, the existencec of God becomes a necessity (sp?)

God is the way out for human inability to rationalize with something irrational...
God is the way out for human's doubts, to release them of their doubts
God is an image of a perfect being...
